- Echeveria derenbergii hybrid is a perennial and slow-growing, elegant jade rosette. The leaves are smooth and fleshy, compact and cute. In late winter to summer, it sends up pink-red stems which bear cup-shaped, yellow flowers with “painted” red tips. Unlike pale green Echeveria derenbergii, this hybrid type will turn jelly-light green when it thrives.
- Like most of Echeverias, Echeveria derenbergii hybrid requires indirect bright sunlight to maintain the color and shape form. It can be placed outdoors in spring and fall to get full sunlight. Shade is required in summer to avoid sunburn. In winter, protection from frost is needed.
- To ensure the health of succulents, they need porous, well-draining soil to live in. Succulents require little watering but don’t like to sit in wet soil. The best way of watering is the soak-and-dry method. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry.
